GRADE 9 ACADEMIC PROGRAM

1. To achieve Grade 9 standing a student must successfully complete ten courses.

2. Required Courses

English Language Arts B90
Health/Physical Education 90

Mathematics 90
Practical Arts 90

Social Studies 90

3. Elective Courses

Students must select one course from Group A and one course from Group B.

Group A: Fine Arts

Band 90	requires previous Band experience
Arts Education 90	explores the areas of Music, Art and Drama
Music component I & I	introduces the MIE keyboard program from Yamaha and an introduction to guitar
Art component	consists of introductory drawing technique and use of colour
Drama component	introduces pantomime, improvisation and characterization

Group B:

French 90 or Mathematics 90Y
